The percentage of young people not in education, employment or training has fallen, once again, to its lowest level ever. This means that more young people are getting the skills they need to succeed and get on in life, with the opportunity to earn or learn.
As youth unemployment continues to fall, more young people are starting their adult life with the dignity and security of work, rather than welfare.
And with 2.4 million more apprenticeships started since 2010, we’re ensuring that more young people are getting proper training and the prospect of a better future.
Over the next five years we’ll continue to offer young people the best possible start in life, by creating 2 million more jobs and 3 million more apprenticeships.
