Sara Kumar

Parliamentary candidate

Our parliamentary candidate for the 2019 election is Sara Kumar. Sara says:

I was born and raised in London by immigrant parents. In 2016 I graduated with a degree in Politics and Sociology from the University of Brighton. I work as an Events Manager at the Centre for Social Justice and run my own business online. In my teenage years I worked as a model. I have been lucky enough to travel across the UK to assist in the filming of our countries most outstanding charities who tackle poverty. Having worked alongside the Metropolitan Police, we need to tackle violent crime. I would also focus on the improvement of our transport links and implement local initiatives to protect the environment. I've been involved in fundraising and volunteering for charities that help young children, the homeless and abandoned animals. I've stood in two local elections and campaigned for many general elections. We need more MPs who are a truly representative of various communities and understanding in the needs of our ever-changing society. It would be an honour to represent the residents of West Ham and make a real difference.
